What about the one who was acquitted?  Should we have a law that jails the woman for the same length of time that the man would be jailed for the offence, if it's proven to be true?

Depends on each individual case. Like those who absconded, for example that Singapore lawyer (cannot remember his name) that run off with millions. He's not convicted and his case was pending back when the news appeared but I think his name should be revealed (it was revealed) at that time.

I think it is mainly for sex crimes and medical malpractice cases that people are asking that the names of the accused not be revealed as the chances of acquittal is higher than most other kinds of charges (such as robber, fighting and injuring others, or a guy swinging a sword on the road etc where sometimes CCTV will have proved his or her guilt even before actual conviction).

For serious crimes person would be in custody until the trial.

However there is of certain criminals like conman ...he may con again before he is convicted. However with social media these days the fuller's name will be release somehow to public by some otter means

I would say depends on  the crime and whether it serves public interest to do so.
