Pritam Singh: I have looked at the COP rep
#1

I have looked at the COP report and its recommendation to refer Faisal Manap and I for prosecution. I will speak more extensively on the COP report in Parliament when it is tabled for debate, expected to be sometime next week.

Assuming Parliament adopts the Committee’s recommendations, there remain a number of unknowns. These include the eventual decision of the Public Prosecutor to prosecute, the intervening time before the matter goes to trial, the eventual verdict and any sentence meted out, and the prospect of both Faisal and I losing our parliamentary seats and stepping down as Members of Parliament if either of us is fined $2000 or more.

Until there is some resolution to these matters which may take some time yet, Faisal and I will continue our work - including but not limited to MPS, estate walks, house visits and other parliamentary commitments - as per normal.

I hope they are jailed so that the facade can end.

The PAP does not believe in democracy or rights of citizens to elect their leaders. Hence they canstantly target elected opposition members of parliamen. This goes all the way back to JBJ.

Fixung and jailing opposition is nothing new in Singapore.

Pritam will have the underdog advantage to win the next election if he can get over this in one piece. This is how politics always works.

Madness PAP.

The will exert such extravagant effort on Oxley Saga and now, even extend such effort on Opposition.

Can't they spend it wisely to remove the 10 Mistakes in MOM instead?

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?

Singaporeans for many years has been “squeezed”, and many do realised the problems. Has or have the intelligence of Singaporeans improved?

If as claimed that Singaporeans do have the intelligence, we would see more than the current opposition. And instead we now have not the sideline members being added, the like of NMP seatings.

Which brings back to my point, we continue to see Singaporeans vote for the ruling party for whatever reasons. And allow the none accountable ruling party to run our country as they pleased.

Like that gst will be 20% without opposition to check and balance.
