Pritam: Some S'poreans still face job insecurities despite economic benefits of FTAs
#1

Quote:Ordinary Singaporeans do not delve into the intricacies of free trade agreements. Instead, they look around and come to conclusions based on what they perceive and experience. If Singaporeans have not for years been seeing foreigners occupying well-paying jobs while qualified Singaporeans are unemployed or under-employed, we would not be talking about this today

The same old lose motherhood statement-

No one said Meritocracy or FTA is intrinsically bad. It is bilateral agreement to save on tariffs for goods. But it has nothing to do with us!

Even if it creates job, PAP will still issue FREE & EASY Employment Pass without levies nor quota for FTs.

At the end, FTA becomes a Pail with Hundred HOLES.

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?

Job insecurities will always be there

as long you work for some one ..you can always get fired

i was retrenched once ..from then on I am numb about insecurities ...

There are ways to get over it
1, dont over leverage
2 invest with making good relationship with decision makers and up and coming people
3 invest on your self..keep upgrading
3 willing to do sai kang .. to expand capabilities

It is ok, to continue ignore livelihood and jobless Singaporean. It will only l help them to reach a point when people comes to their senses that they have voted the wrong candidate and will get their vote count in the next election.
Don’t stop, please continue to import more useless FT
