Stop sprouting nonsense if you dont know the laws

you are lying again.

below is proof that police can ask for phone records for investigation

https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/p...n-criminal

Section 20 of the CPC empowers the police to order the "production of any document or other thing" for the purposes of criminal investigations.

Citing this, Dr Balakrishnan said the data collected by TraceTogether is not exempt from these provisions.

He noted that other forms of sensitive data which may be protected by privacy laws, such as phone or banking records, are similarly subject to these provisions.

"The police must be given the tools to bring criminals to justice and protect the safety and security of all Singaporeans," he added.

"And especially in very serious cases, and where lives are at stake, it is not reasonable for us to say that certain classes of data should be out of reach of the police."

The new law, included in recent amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code, allows for police to access computers which they have reasonable cause to suspect is or has been used in connection with, or contains or did contain evidence relating to an arrestable offence. Police may use any such computer, which operates in or from Singapore, to search any data contained in or available to such computer, even when it is located outside Singapore. Police may also order people to provide assistance in gaining access to the computer, including by providing any username, password or other authentication information required for access. Anyone who fails to comply shall be guilty of an offence and liable for up to $10,000 for a company, or up to $5000 and/or 6 months imprisonment for an individual.

Nothing surprising. Last election on average counting where WP contestee the total votes for WP was higher than PAP...

First, RK lied in Parliament.  PAP did not tell her to lie.

Second, PS and FM knew that RK lied but they kept quiet about it.  PAP did not tell them to keep quiet.

From your post, it seems like you expect Parliament to let these pass?  It is OK for RK to tell lies?  It is OK for RK's boss to keep quiet while she went about lying?

And now you say PAP fixed WP.

Be honest lar.  It's WP fixed WP...or if you like, scored its own goal.

So you think police can access or not? Is this even an arrestable crime or not? Use your brain a bit can or not? Which law can the police use to make it an arrestable charge, then request for assistance? If you tell me what PS and that Malay hv committed an arrestable crime, then i accede, or else there is no law existing for thé police to apply to

WP vice-chairman Faisal Manap's refusal to answer the questions put to him by the Committee of Privileges during his testimony was "flagrant and inexcusable", said a report by the committee.

His refusal suggested that he wanted to hide the truth, it added. https://str.sg/wWMq

The recommendations by the COP is ready and it suggested criminal charges against PS and FM and a $35K fine on RK. We can more or less conclude that WP is screwed because these recommendations will be debated and put to vote at next parliamentary session. PAP being the majority of the parliament, the recommendations will be passed in a breeze. ..... Rolleyes

I thought it depends on whether the public prosecutor think got case or not? COP can only refer to PP but PP can don't take up the case of they think there's no case?

I am not sure whether PP can say got case or no case if parliament voted got case and to be charged as recommended.

However whether the verdict will be guilty as charged or not I am not sure. There is no concrete evidence that PS master minded the whole saga and instructed RK to continue with her lies. Seems like COP chose to believe a confirmed liar, RK, to recommend the case which is full of doubts to be tried in court to make themselves look very democratic, fair to give PS a chance to defend himself, very transparent and noble. However, some may view this tactic as crap, high handed and hypocritical...... Rolleyes

LOTO Singh used to be clean shaven, but after he became WP's boss, he started to keep some hair to make himself look older?

Anyway, the whole saga has nothing to do with PM Lee and PAP.

It all started with RK telling a lie and repealing it several times in Parliament.  You cannot say that PAP is fixing WP when RK lied on her her accord.

PS failed to decisively expose RK which would have won him applause from both PAP supporters and oppies.  He gave excuses like oh! she said she was raped before!  I gave her time.  She needs to speak to her father before informing Parliament about her lying!

Rubbish!

And yes, she must take responsibly to confess (it's not my responsibility)

He shirked his responsibility as both the LOTO and WP's boss.  One of his  party members had lied in Parliament but he kept quiet, and said it was for RK to confess...so for months, he knew about the lie but kept quiet and did not tell the House about it.

Those of you who want PAP kicked out, and WP to form the next government......this is the quality of the WP's boss who would become the PM.

I think it is time for WP to either split or for some of its members to quit and join another party.  Those who still want to stay with this LOTO, by all means stay.  Those who are disappointed with him, please consider leaving....

Should have fine her $50k and case close. Whoever she tell does not absolve or mitigate her crime of lying in parliament. Punishing the listeners like her party or parents is tantamount to anyhow spray.
