In China it's easier now to crush protests than to solve a problem.

Xi has no problem turning China into something like N. Korea and bring back the personality cult. Whole country read "Xi Jinping thoughts', go back to Mao era.

Deng was a real visionary. He knew the importance of term limit so that no leader can entrenched himself to cause so much damage. Unfortunately, Xi remove the term limit and entrenched himself.

Now he cozy up to Iran, Russia and N. Korea ...making China into a clear threat to West. Inviting actions to contain china.

He damaged thee economy with his stubborn COVID zero policies despite WHO being against it. Because of his face, whole country has to suffer.

He destroyed the tech sector in China.

Economy weaken leading to highest youth unemployement

Many Chinese families lost their wealth as poorly handled property sector crash led to home mortgage boycott.

The West now views China as a geopolitical challenge will over time pull out investments and slowly restrict trade to weaken it. China will be view as part of the Russia and Iran gang. 

Russia is probably emboldened by its relations with China to conduct a war knowing China will support it through trade and oil purchases when West sanctions Moscow. This is clear illustration to west to deal with China with higher urgency and priority.

For years China had leaders who maintain good relations with West for mutual benefit so that citizens can benefit. Xi's method is to use suppression against his own citizens and erode ties with the west to befriend Russiaa and Putin.
