Chairperson of the PTC, Ms Janet Ang, said: "Public transport fares have to increase due to the spike in energy prices, and to cope with rising costs such as the salary increases for public transport workers

------------------------------------------
SM CCBAI from 61%?

Energy price increase but what is the current profit margin?

Also, salary increase for bus drivers, meh?

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?

Than on the other side talk about " WFH " ? IF 4 days week , mean one day less revenue for public transports , even hawkers, retail

I believe there should be more categories of journey instead of just just <8.2km and >8.2km.

It's really quite unfair because the increment is the same whether his destination is one bus-stop away or ten bus-stops away. There should be more differentiation.

In some areas bus fares are fixed at 20c irregardless the distance traveled. Old, handicap and young all Free! Only in SG u will see a handicap who can only move his head need to pay.

That is because Public Transport is heavily subsidised by the garment.

One bus-stop away can walk lah. Even 2 bus-stops away also can walk. Then can achieve your 10,000 steps daily.

She will say it's only 5c increase.  Worst is she never need to take public transport and probably make decision base on what the bosses want to hear

China is now in recession period.
Most of the things will be getting cheaper. Big Grin
This recession will last at least 1 year.
Are you prepared for the rainy day?

3 big bubbles, one of them will burst first?
China property market.
US stock Market
Japan Bond Market.

Japan depreciates Yen is to save Its Bond Market.
US raise rate is to expedite the process of bursting China Property or Japan Bond Bubble.
If US cant increase the rate further and China property and Japan Bond still havent fully burst. Then good luck to US.
