In China, young people would stand up and offer their seat to an elderly person who boards the bus or train.

In Singapore, the people who offered their seats were foreigners, including the Indians.

In Taiwan, young people would not sit on the reserved seats even if the train was full.

In Singapore, young sinkies sat on it and couldn't be bothered even if an old man stood in front of him.

Those that are seated in a reserved seat in the train, would feel uncomfortable when they see an elderly person or pregnant women standing by their side.  But some would pretend to sleep and hang on to the reserved seat............... Angry

You are right.  They'd pretend to be asleep rather than offer their seat to an elderly person.

Something seems to have gone wrong in this aspect of how the young had been brought up.  Parents did not teach them, or school teachers did not teach them?

unfortunate but cannot be help. petrol is higher then last few years. food prices and daily necessity gone higher. surely transport worker also need better pay to offset increase

onlything is operator should relook at their idealogy of running empty or money lossing transport service at time when few people want it.

unwanted service provided means lost that all the rest of people got to pay. or tax payer pay.
again good intention that may not have work out.
need to review need to review.
