So at the end, where is the money going to?

How much is spent?

Who checks on it?

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?

no know about all those values. going to force super market to charge 5c for disposable bags.

this is really crazy useless ideas. in singapore context when does plastic bags cause harm? in proportion is also no significant. most reuse it as container for rubbish to tie up the throw into rubbish chute. later no plastic bags just dump inside the rubbish chute. then come up with more law to force buy rubbish plastic bag.

useless ideas just to score points on green. plus from report it is forcing the 5c on disposal bag. that means even if super market want to
give free paper bag also got to charge.

think the government got to rethink about how far to push for environment. those picture on fish trap with plastic bags etc are only an insignificant portions of plastic bags used. why not work on biodegradable plastic bags instead.

5c per bag if one uses 4 bags extra 20c . so this is on top of the comming gst. gst i can understand but this 5c per bag is sense less.

green by the way acts like terrorist. you write to them about some thing that they promote is not correct. next moment your mail will get attack until it is almost suspended.

Well said, I don't support the charging of 5 cts. on each plastic bag, cos these bags can be used to carry wet rubbish to be thrown into the rubbish chute.....it is not a one time use only..........

because SG sign deal so call " save the earth, Global climate changes " Thus have to do " something " aka like report card to the UN etc.

I feel is really BS , want to save earth yet Gov sector all fully blast their air con like no body business WHY? NO NEED TO PAY ALL FROM PUBLIC FUNDS

I do Know they have so call " Green plan within their Public sectors , like try to control the usage, save etc but in the end for show " so call KPI purpose.

Using Air Con does contribute to heat wave to the environment.

Still got many things daily we use , also plastic here and there.

i saw on tv one aunty claim the plastic bag usually never throw use as bag to collect rubbish in the house which most of us doing it.

If so isn't the same you go buy those Black Plastic bag which Cleaners always use, that is also Plastic bag
