The population of India and China are in billions. So, whatever sickness these two countries will score alarmingly high figures. But to get a good picture of the global diabete situation for comparision, the data must be presented in percentage.      Rolleyes

That's what I thought too.

For Type 1 diabetes, the top 10 countries per 1,000 people in 2022 are:

U.S. 175.9
India 171.3
Brazil 95.8
China 54.0
United Kingdom 39.1
Russian Federation 35.7
Algeria 33.1
Germany 33.1
Morocco 30.2
Saudi Arabia 27.8

For Type 2 diabetes, the top 10 countries in 2022 per 1,000 people are:

Pakistan 30.8
French Polynesia 25.2
Kuwait 24.9
New Caledonia 23.4
Northern Mariana Islands 23.4
Nauru 23.4
The Marshall Islands 23.0
Mauritius 22.6
Kiribati 22.1
Egypt 20.9

One can see that India and China are still high on the Type 1 diabetes list. USA is number one, most probably due to obesity as obesity is a huge problem there probably due to diet.

Note that the above are 2022 figures and are not updated with the newest detection method

Cannot take India's snacks or desserts. They are excessively sweet and they like it. Don't think they will change.

Malaysia's coffee and tea is also terribly sweet. If you ask for milk tea or coffee they will add the sweet condensed milk into the already sweetened drink.

diabetics....Diseases affect on body uses blood sugar (glucose). Glucose is an important source of energy. But make up muscles and tissues, also main cause of diabetes varies by type. But no matter what type of diabetes you have, it can lead to excess sugar in the blood. Too much sugar in the blood can lead to serious health problems brain's main source of fuel. Tongue

The longer if one have diabetes — and the less controlled your blood sugar — the higher the risk of complications.

Eventually, diabetes complications may be disabling or even life-threatening. In fact, prediabetes can lead to type 2 diabetes. Possible complications include:

Heart and blood vessel (cardiovascular) disease. Diabetes majorly increases the risk of many heart problems

These can include coronary artery disease with chest pain (angina), heart attack, stroke and narrowing of arteries (atherosclerosis). If you have diabetes, you're more likely to have heart disease or stroke....mati lehh. crying

Please stop importing CECA with diabetes. Locals do not want to be burdened with such high medical insurance due to their health complications.
