Question - Why some in India consider Der Spiegel cartoon as "racist" ?

Cool

The image is to capture the news on a recent UN report suggesting the South Asian country's population size has overtaken China.
What if the German mag cartoonist excludes the image of another train with a PRC flag falling behind ?
Will that be seen less in racial term and more of a nationalistic bragging right as being No#1 more populous country on Earth ?
Thinking

In April 2023, India’s population is expected to reach 1,425,775,850 people, matching and then surpassing the population of mainland China

Maybe I am being insensitive to some CECA feelings - but why do they as India-citizens often ignores the FACT their own country is made up of countless ethnic groups and tribes  ?

By constantly playing up race "victims" and cards in the context of "India" as a country is not going win the argument since the South Asian state itself has so much racial problems....

The irony is that they are a disjointed so-called nation that was artificially cobbled together by the British and mistreat each other based on an antiquated caste tribal system.

CECAs like to play the race victim card solely because they have no sensible reason to articulate an argument as evidenced by this train cartoon.

The South Asian region has had a very long rich history of diverse religions, languages, culture and ethnicity.

In fact, the sub-continent was under an Islamic empire for almost abt a 1000 years and today's capital New Delhi was founded by Islamic sultanate called Delhi Sultanate in 13 century.

However nothing is more consequential than the arrival of the Europeans within last 400 years that changed the geopolitical makeup that we see today.
So when we talk about "India", we need to remember the "real India" did not exist until the AMTK exited then colonial British India after 1947
