Nothing is worth more than human lives - specially pilots which taxpayer $ had spend a lot on.

Crashed jet can be replaced, but not trained pilots.

This is why more countries are relying on drones to attack their enemies since the lives of pilots are more valuable.

I think his parents, wife and kids would want him grounded after escaping from this crash.     Rolleyes

This supposed a warning to others to do properly  unlike if in war combat shot down by enemy ; pilot if survived can still fly warplane in air again.

USAF chief says he is pushing for AI-controlled fighter jets just this week...

I have seen simulated demo of veteran fighter pilots vs AI-controlled on same jet types - The former is worried...

I heard RSAF drove a very hard bargain with Lockheed Martin on the F-35B variants.

Then after testing, they decided the F-35A+upgrade is a better-for-value since A version flies further and has heavier payload than B for gradually replace the F-16 fleet which is already +30 years old..(Edit - And it helps with a stronger SGD Big Grin  )

Not like that lah. Pilots can only eject two times then grounded for good. I was told the force of ejection is tremendous and human are only safe to be shot out twice.    Rolleyes

War is never a "sunset industry" ...it is just being outsourced to a "ChatGPT" ..

No coincidence F-16 platform is used as the test bed for world's 1st AI vs Human BFM with guns only since the Falcon was the 1st FBW 9G rated 3rd gen that is widely used today.Big Grin

Falcon uses ACER Zero-Zero ejection seat - meaning it is rated for ejection at at ground level at zero speed.
