“Russia will be the biggest beneficiary of this production cut.” Kirby, the strategic communications coordinator for the National Security Council (NSC), expressed his dissatisfaction at a press conference on the 13th.

The Group of Seven (G7) countries, including the United States, have announced bans on imports of Russian oil and caps on transaction prices as sanctions against the Ukrainian invasion.

The United States has accused Saudi Arabia of working with Russia to raise oil prices. Mr. Biden, who had been urging Saudi Arabia to increase production during a tour of the Middle East in July, announced a review of relations with Saudi Arabia in a disgraceful manner.

Saudi Arabia's foreign ministry issued a statement on Thursday, saying that "OPEC+'s decision is purely based on an economic context." In response, the U.S. side rebutted, saying, "We oppose Saudi Arabia's claims. We have shown our analysis that (the production cut) is economically unnecessary," (Mr. Kirby).
