Rising chicken prices in Malaysia: Could fish be next?

KUALA LUMPUR - Rising prices for chicken amid a shortage in Malaysia is just the tip of the iceberg as the country battles a surge in consumer food prices due to global food insecurity.

Apart from chicken, the supply of fish in the country has also fallen 70 per cent, dropping from a million tonnes to approximately 300,000 tonnes a month due to uncertain weather over the past two months.

Too big to annex whole Malaysia. May be use Putin's strategy just annex JB to satisfy our food and water requirement. This would be a valid reason for the annex without condemnation from Ah Butt I guess...... Big Grin

Cutting food source and supply has been a traditional sun tze war strategy. But let's just take it now that our neighbors are not doing it as a warfare strategy but really towards securing their own food source.

Wouldn't that makes it a valid reason for us to annex JB to secure our food supply also. It is regrettable though...... Big Grin

Govt kept repeating about NS and Total Defence as this country tear apart. I find it cynical when MP V Bala said we should learn from Ukraine War when they obviously did not.
