He is only 31 years old, so time is on his side. I have seen former colleagues get the axe in their late 40s and well into their 50s. They face a far more difficult time finding gainful employment so they are resigned to a life of underemployment or unemployment.

But Singapore leaders claimed the Govt providing unemployed workers with a trampoline to bounce ups and downs.

The trampoline is for retrenched Sinkies to jump to their deaths from the HDB rooftop.

Now Recession, so PAP must save Foreigners first

Because it is FTs #1 POLICY.

Even I will not vote for PAP because it is merely a contract job.

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?

True. I would do some gig work to at very least not have to dig into my savings to buy lunch.

At 31, it's not hard to find another job. It's only hard if there's a world war (3} and then the entire economy collapses.

Actually Budget 2024 is trying to save companies in order to save jobs for Singaporeans.

Take it from me, a lot of companies are now saying No Quota. They are unable to hire foreigners.

The government has tweaked it such that not only companies have to hire Singaporeans but must send them for WSQ courses to upgrade their skills in order to get a quota.

When I came to know about this, it doubly confirmed to me that the government is doing what it can to ensure that we are given job priority and if we lack certain skills, the company damn well send us for training instead of saying we don't have the skills needed and that's why they have to hire foreigners.

All along Employment Pass has No Quota and companies can hire as many FTs as they want

(99% FTs win)

Many middle-age have 20 or 30 years of skills behind them but AGEISM kicks in

(100% Companies win)

So, FTs are hired easily to replace us while we have to attend limited Training courses

(99% we lose)

not knowing which skills the next company is looking for

(99% we lose again)

.

When can we strike so many lottery??
