A Houthi military spokesman on Wednesday said that a United States (US) commercial ship had been the target of an operation by Yemeni naval forces.
"The attack was direct and accurate," Brigadier Yahya Saree said in a video statement.
"This operation came just hours after Yemeni Armed Forces naval forces targeted an American destroyer (USS Revelli) that was hit by several naval missiles in the Red Sea," he added.
