New coronavirus infections exceed 50,000 per day again for the first time in six months, reaching 50,814 on July 25, according to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency.
Daily infections soared to 57,220 the following day and could surpass 60,000 if the trend continues. The week of July 23-29 saw 313,906 infections, up 23.7 percent from the previous week.
