1. Did badly in STPM, but can enter NTU via Backdoor in the 80s
2. Did badly in his marriage, so Divorce
3. Cannot find a good NUS grad as wife so buy a Vietbu
4. Cannot have a smart normal son, so blame his wife
5. Cannot excel in his life so must buy Fake Antiques every week
6. Handicap and cannot do NS, so sell his useless son to be a Duck

Now he is a taxi driver and found happjness in life
he becomes a taxi driver because he needed money and not because he found happiness in taxi driving.
he was unhappy because he failed to achieve wealth in his previous career and business.
he would not be driving taxi if his business was thriving and became a multi millionaire.

Advertisers and societybcondition you to think that having condo, every year need to travel to "eat air", high status etc are important for your happiness. Once you find the truth and see through it...you can be happy with much less...even you end up with alot of money and "things" it was merely a by product not the goal of your existence.
happiness is about expectation.
if you keep lowering your expectation, you can be happier than before.
if a millionaire leaves his thriving business to become a taxi driver and still is a millionaire, I believe what he says because he gives up more money for less.
if a businessman leaves his unprofitable/bankrupt business to become a taxi driver and in high debt, it is hard to believe what he says because he gives up more debt for no debt.

Definitely, it is rich but for freedom, not being ultra rich.
You can travel around the world, to open your mind.
To experience and see the world.
Not spending your whole life only working like a robot.
When AI is progressing fast enough, this dream will come true. $$$ is no longer important.

South Morning Post News
HAPPINESS= it is not about accumulating wealth or accolades.
Instead, what she calls "The New Happy" centres on deep connections with others, service to one's community and prioritising relationships over personal gain.

A.complete life is impossible..in life we will have to leave out some experiences. Some are born without sibljngs and have no brothers and sisters. Some never experience climbing mount everest ...so can we say you never lived unless you have climb mount everest?
There will always be corners of the earth we have not visited. Friends that we did not make and so on.
One third of marriages end up jn divorce anyway.
Around one in three Singaporeans dont get married. They may have pets ...make more friends...have more time for hobbies etc.
Different people different lives ....dont feel pressure to get married becauee others have.
I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
