It is not a union for workers. It is a money making machine for the Gov. 

Did it distribute its profit to the workers or members? No

Did it share its wealth to the workers ? No

Did it fight for the workers’ rights and benefits? No

Well, this Govt is also known as Singapore, Inc and they pay servants like CEOs of Banks. Naturally, their PA and  NTUC are profit making entities disguised as the Govt, too.

NTUC is an umbrella body for various unions.

However it also engages in various businesses viz

1. Supermarket (FP)
2. Eldercare
3. Food court 
4. Child care
5. Taxi
6. Insurance
