S'pore Defence Minister Dr Ng Eng Hen recently proposed acquisition of 2 additional Type 218SG or Invincible-class diesel-electric submarines for Republic of S'pore Navy (RSN). Speaking to Parliament during a Committee of Supply debate, Dr Ng said, although S'pore already has four submarines, the current number is "not an optimum for a fleet."

Ukrainian troops continued counterattacks & launched another raid against Russian positions along railway near Kotlyne, outflanking Russians in a perfectly executed maneuver. W/Ukrainians taking only Russian attack route under complete fire control, Russians' hope of taking Udachne is now potentially lost forever.


Ukrainian forces are capitalizing on their recent successes in Pokrovsk sector, seek to push Russian troops further away from town. Over past few weeks, Ukrainian counterattacks proven highly effective, demo their ability to identify exploit weak points in Russian lines & execute precise well-organized ops to accomplish this. 

They R now seizing opportunity to launch other offensive maneuver southwest of Pokrovsk, targeting enemy near Udachne to disrupt enemy advances, secure critical defensive terrain. 

Now defense in Udachne is well-connected to central Ukrainian supply lines, w/side road leading to the Pokrovsk-Dnipro highwa, a direct supply route to Mezhova, a larger settlement that facilitates rapid troop rotation & resupply.

Unlike Russians now struggle to transport reinforcements due to Ukrainian drone threats, Ukrainians can quickly move troops & supplies, reinforcing their positions with minimal delay. 

Enemy forces in Pokrovsk area face serious challenges: a lack of manpower, overstretched supply lines, difficulties maintaining fortified post, their inability to consolidate gains has left vulnerable for Ukrainian counterattacks
