I agree with the news. Candidates must havd the relevant experience to be suited for a job and mere paper chase gets you nowhere. 

In fact, age discrimination is common in most countries. Ours is more rampant over the years is due to the support of this Govt. Never heard of any companies in the watchlist or being penalised.

Highly likely should be younger PRs and new citizens come into the figure.

Once they have your IC they know your age, after they know your age and you are more than 40 they will not want to hire you even if you look younger and have more experience. This is called age discrimination.

I find it astounding that Recruitment Agencies can even ask for IC on the false pretext that it is used to submit our profile to their clients which is often totally untrue. The serious lapses by MOM to manage this for years have jeapordise the lives of many locals.
