SSB FEB yield plunge to Average 2.81%/yr per year.

The February 2024’s SSB bonds yield an interest rate of 2.81%/yr for the next ten years.

However, if you only hold the SSB bonds for one year, with two semi-annual payments, your interest rate is 2.72%/yr.

The downtrend is coming. If SDIC protection is not a big issues I introduce two lobangs. StashAway Simple Guaranteed and Syfe Cash+ Guaranteed. These companies place FD with banks using company status. Then they give us put and they take a small cut. Hence customers no SDIC protection as we are not placing directly with the bank but the company is.

Syfe  3m 3.70% , 6m 3.60% , 12m 3.50%
StashAway 1m 3.60% 3m 3.80% , 6m 3.60% , 12m 3.30%

Who are the fools buying US junk bonds.
10 yr US bonds is going to rise back to 5%.

Who will buy 7.6 Trillion US bonds going to mature this year?  Rotfl

Russia and some BRIC countries are not using USD… Even India starts to use Indian Rupee to buy oil.

Not that good leh. HL Bank is still giving 3.6% (or 3.65% for 500k and above) for 12 months.

I got 3.68% for 12 months from RHB just a while back but it seems that it has dropped to 3.45% for 12 months now.

It's another avenue for return. If not good don't buy.

HL bank big minimum. RHB ask for 20k. StashAway Syfe no minimum $1 also can take. This is important for ppl who like to diversify a lot. I also got moomoo Fullerton, MariBank Invest, UOB Simply Invest so each lobang minimum important for me.
