Cool

WOW....our pro-USA Straits Time now says China is in far better position in the Trade War against the Americans coming final Q of 2025.. Big Grin

In characteristic fashion, the US President accused China of pursuing a sinister design by cultivating a monopoly in rare earths. “I have always felt that they’ve been lying in wait, and now, as usual, I have been proven right!” he wrote. “There is no way that China should be allowed to hold the world ‘captive’, but that seems to have been their plan for quite some time, starting with the ‘magnets’ and, other elements that they have quietly amassed into somewhat of a monopoly position, a rather sinister and hostile move, to say the least,” Mr Trump said.

China makes more than 90% of the global supply of rare-earth magnets used in the manufacture of everything from cars to smart phones to fighter jets.If Beijing cuts off supplies to the US, estimates are that This dominance has undermined Mr Trump’s ability to impose economic sanctions on China. If Beijing cuts off supplies to the US, estimates are that America’s stocks will empty in less than 90 days.

Speaking of "wipe out"  Big Grin

Shares of Amazon, Nvidia and Tesla each dropped around 5% on Friday 10 Oct 2025, as tech’s megacaps lost $770 billion in market cap, following President Donald Trump’s threats for increased tariffs on Chinese goods. With tech’s trillion-dollar companies occupying an increasingly large slice of the U.S. market, their declines send the Nasdaq down 3.6% and the S&P 500 down 2.7%. For both indexes, it was the worst day since April, when Trump said he would slap “reciprocal” duties on U.S. trading partners

[ST 13 Oct] China exports soar, giving Xi stronger hand in trade war with US
PRC exports rose 8.3% September from a year earlier, according to data from the General Administration of Customs on Oct 13. That was faster than the 6.6% median estimate in a Bloomberg survey of economists, and shows there is no slowdown yet in the record-breaking flood of goods leaving China’s shores.
