⚡ 'Safety must come first': Speed limit of PMAs to be cut to 6kmh, says MOT

For 51-year-old delivery rider Hu, her mobility scooter isn't just how she earns a living. It's also how she goes about her life, whether getting groceries or just going around her neighbourhood.

Something must be done. Also the size of the PMD must be adjusted.
Some are so big that can take 4.
Today saw one going so fast at covered walkway. One aunty shouted at him to slow down.

Reduce to 5km/ hr, please!!

Those big machines want to overtake and horn at us to give way

during rainy days under the walkway shelter

Fast not enough, some even was speeding at 20km/ hr

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?

6km per hr is too fast ... it should be 10m per minute for safety to the disabled to manoeuvre the vehicle. And certified disabled.

How about yearly mandatory inspection at Vicom inspection centers, like cars and motor bikes? No pass cannot use. Another revenue for gov to earn $ for the sake of earning.

The Govt will just catch a few while thousands get away freely. So much for their weak ability on another area.

On another note.  Last night I rebuked one PRC cyclist at a pedestrian crossing.

She cycled with her baby in tow at the pedestrian crossing (when the green light man appeared) and hit me from behind. Ok a gentle nudge at my waist with her handle bars.

She did apologize in English and I just told her to be more careful.  She curtly replied back in mandarin she still has a baby in tow. So I told her then she should exactly even be more careful because of her kid.

Stupid tiong.

govt's response and action is really BS

who is going to enforce this?

whats more pressing is those without mobility issues using PMA as a vehicle
why dont do something about that? or cannot coz elections coming ?

the PMA population would be a lot less if they made regulations as to who can use

The worst is those can walk but even using PMA inside shoppping malls. I see such cases every week.

Those security officers must be given full rights to check on the users Hospital Report. And inform LTA to issue fines.

One medical cert, whole family can use it. Regulators cannot control anymore.
