Yesterday received an SMS notifying that I have a bill that will be due and incur a penalty. Purportedly from LTA.

It says Please check and complete payment by : bit.ly/3XbV8cX 

I was surprised because I do not have any outstanding payments and nothing to do with LTA So I looked carefully at the telephone number 9861596 . Only 7 digits.
If I did not look at the phone number i may have clicked onto the link provided.

I logged in to LTA website moments ago and saw I had no outstanding bills.

So beware of the latest scam.
