Despite Shell new CEO Sawan announced increasing investments, Singapore oil production was  terminated W/O further discussion.

I think Shell exiting from Bukum is planned and expected after consideration by PAP when they made up their minds to go green. So this seeking to exit by Shell is no surprise to PAP as this Sorhai tried to portray.  Big Grin

Aramco and PetroChina will be keen to buy Bukom off Shell. I don't humanity completely weaning off oil for the next 50 years. Even if not for fuel, we still need plastics.

exit means sell to someone. such a big complex and good shipping route has a lot of value.

everyone talk about ev car etc. end of day petrol is still among cheaper solution. reliable and produce energy on demand.

not like solar cell depends on sun,
wind turbine depends on wind speed.
hydro power depends on water pressure.
etc all depend on nature .
battery store electricity leak all the time.

nuclear is too dagerous, if nuclear incident cost is not berable.
