Last time my secondary school/church also practise compulsory donations to maintain the premises. They didn't bankrupt the followers but instead force the non-believers to donate to them.

I was approached by Koreans at New York City, they didn’t let me leave until I told them I am a Buddhist. I know some people in Spore especially aunties also joined some types of Korean cult.

Heard the cult will do match making among followers based on their background and personality, after that the followers must get married against their will.

The reason they want so many followers they want their money, some are forced to donate all their wealth after they die. Scientology is another cult in the U.S. that attracts rich people like Tom Cruise and John Travolta to get their donation. After the followers agreed to donating all the wealth in the last wills, they got pushed down from top of the buildings.
