us import tax does not means total no import. people will still need to buy. just buy lesser and in smaller quantity.
expect immediate impact to be higher as companies has stock up. over time maybe 10 percent lesser import.
singapore can look at things that we benefited due to lower import tax compared to others.
labout cost difference between us and low labour cost location too far apart for us to increased manufacture of most goods.

invite famous american university to setup satellite class here where students study for a period fo time then go to us to complete the rest of course.
in that way students no need to bear higher cost of stay in us. got to stay in 2 countries for their period of study.
improve singapore global status as these students graduate and enter workforce.
