I noticed there are a lot of civil servants are working from home for at least 3 days a week. Should Civil Servants be allowed to work from home at all now that pandemic is over?
At least in my block, one is working for MOE and the other IT in police force. Can see them walking the dog at 11am and leaving for early lunch. What a cushy job.
In private sectors, companies are encouraging staffs to return to office given a noticeable loss of social capital and productivity. In the civil service, productivity and services are already deplorable, yet civil servants are given even more freedom to work from home; with mid year bonus and once off payment to boot.

MOE , polytechnic , Uni are actually the most slacking Public sectors. lol. But EPIC actually primary , secondary and JC not so. Teachers are quite busy than Lecture. EPIC come wages, lecture get more than teacher. Come supporting staff. Also same. Primary and secondary , JC in fact more busy for their technical officer as just a small group of people in charge worst one primary school only just have 3 . Unlike Polytechnic and Uni is a lot partly due to their big facilties and thus on the other side also have lots of Sub Contractors involve EPIC is over staffs inside. Yea civil servant job is ' literally Brain dead job " In fact if you wanna so call easy life at work go join as civil servant. Mid year , Year end bonus, yearly increment also confirm will get.

Depend on the job scope mah. Some jobs really ish not require to be physically presence in office, regardless civil or private coy. Like programmers, project managers, accounts and purchasing etc, such job function don't say wfh, can even entire dept tio outsourced to other countries so technically everyone ish working oversea.
Some jobs, like on-site support staffs, receptionists, cleaners etc ish llst have to always go workplace to work one lor.
There was a time when the country asked ordinary men to do extraordinary things.
But now, they'll only do it for money.

Admin staff possible can WFH but come techncial staff if also WFH don't serve any purpose. As they need to personal check the work done by their sub con is it done correctly or not cannot just let see the photo from sub con claim job already fixed but never go check in person. This is why you see Govt projects a lot get public complain why never check , good an example like recently the bus stop
