It is slowly being depleted by the high pay of the cabinet and his spouse. Rumours floating around mentioned she earned around $100 M per year? Maybe false, I dont know

The most pressing problem is the excessive import of FTs and esp. PCB CECAs that snatch our PMET jobs by making employers addicted to them like cocaine as they are willing to work OT everyday, on weekends and carry balls at a lower salary.

Every year budget always surplus (99%), some balances transfer to reserves for future uses. Forever there is reserves but not enough to for papayas agendas. Under them it now seems to take longer to build up all over again. Careless investment into eg FTX (a crypto trading exchange platform) and all other cyrpto startups, India's new city $Bs investment gone into the drain due to change of political party all totally write off. No wonder now this kancheongness reminder. Urgent need to change those in charge for such unnecessary losses.

This statement is flawed and I do not agree.

Any national or bank reserves can be built again and again. That is why the Govt can take the reserves out to use during Pandemic. It is ridiculous to say come out cannot go in.

Maybe he should attend LinkedIn, Skills Future, Finance courses

to learn to build our reserves

or else please sue Straits Times or POFMA Heng SK

Singapore must ensure it can build back reserves, should need arise to draw on them again: DPM Heng | The Straits Times

Seriously can PM Lee affirm that his team CANNOT rebuild the reserves once used? If his team can't do so, please lead the entire PAP party to quit the govt now, it saves us some money so we can preserve the reserves better. At the same time, close down gic and temasek.

Just get the head of civil service to do the basic administrative job. Have MAS just regularly invest into a simple indexing fund on the SNP500, DOW and NASDAQ will be fine for us. Minimal cost and simple indexing over the very very long term with our reserves.

back in 1965, when LKY took over singapore as independence
the question is IS THERE ANY RESERVER BACK THEN
the answer is no
there are no reserves cause it is a new country
LKY from no reserves (ZERO) bulit up  a reserve till today

the son say CANNOT rebuild the reserves once used
means what ?

means the son is MANY TIMES MORE NINCOMPOOP THAN FATHER

FATHER CAN SON CANNOT

the FATHER BACK THEN IS NOT PAY MILLIONS and YET CAN DO IT

the SON is paid millions from the start and yet say this cannot........ that cannot....

you know let say you own a company and you paid a CEO millions  to help you run the company you own
the problem is this CEO keep tellling you this CANNOT and that CANNOT, CANNOT, CANNOT, CANNOT
i dont know will you still keep paying him millions

GST is planned to go up another 1% next year. It was already announced. There's no hint or might go up

Three possibilities.
1st because HC is no longer cEO of TH , all these decades she is the one  Big Grin

2nd external environment, world is going to have slower growth in coming decades

3rd spending increase is going higher than investment returns

Is PM Lee the first PM who started accumulating Singapore reserves?

Out of 58 years independent, PM Lee only in office for 18 years IE less than >30% and already he's facing problems. What happened?

temasek has lots of foreign talent and most losses stem from them in charge eg ftx, abc children care in down under. Ah Ching herself kept telling other govt divisions to look into the crypto space.
