Sad that local talent has to work as Grab delivery while foreign talent take up good jobs.

I think some of the fresh grads who cant get jobs also work as Grab drivers.

minister asked people to stay calm and keep an open mind.
those speech does seems very arrogant and at the same time naive.
it doesn’t solves any problems and doesn’t present any concrete solutions nor true employment market data, just empty words.
I think we are generally begin disadvantaged by our country’s leaders actions and words.

PaP never appreciate the effort of us bringing up our own children to build this country. They only want foreigners for Singapore and PaP’s Future. This is a larger scale of Treason that Amy Khor has committed.

So long as you learn something it js not wasted. If learn music you have a lifetime of enjoying music more than people without music education.

Education is not all about job to make money. There are many other  way to make money that may not match your education.

Overall it is better to be an educated person than one with less education.

I believe in life long learn about everything  even if it does not entail getting a job.

You won't know when you will need it or when does will linked up. Even if nothing comes out of it you learn something int JPeresting your mind will be enriched.

I am always humbled by the ingenuity of fellow men and their Ideas.  I am a tiny observer trying to make sense of the world.

unemployed people have no choice, food delivery is the only self employed job with little capital outlay.

singapore is seriously wrong.
unemployment is low, employment of foreigners is high and unemployed in food delivery is high.

it means PAP does not train the unemployed to take up jobs where there is job demand.
PAP leaves the unemployed to take up food delivery jobs and employ foreigners in jobs where there is demand.

PAP must come up job program to train and deploy unemployed in jobs with manpower shortage.

Genius my ass lar

This born poor, born stupid, grew up lazy A level dropout

Became a sore xenophobic loser blaming PAP for his failure to get into NUS

This jobless oppie scum thinks PAP gave his mama tit's entitlement to a NUS degree to foreigners on sholarship

That is why he became a PAP hater for life, spitting baseless accusations against PAP 24/7 here for the past 13 years

belief in life long learning about everything is wrong because it will waste your precious time when it does not get a job.
will you spend 6 months to learn brain surgery when you are not a doctor ?

life long learning is beneficial for self enrichment.

life long learning is unproductive and wasting time for getting job because of ageism.

But do not let local talents go to waste just like how PaP prefers to let own children from NUS/ NTU with Top Notch Degree go to waste while importing throngs of FTs without the right qualifications nor skills to do the job. Their are contradicting themselves when words never match their own action. Snakes told us that our own resources is scarce yet can be will fully wasted.

You are a GENIUS!

BTW, thanks to PAP, my friend who came from Pahang, Malaysia to study Engineering at NTU in 1982, just like me

Recently came to my resale HDB 5I flat at Dawson with his youngest son, age 27 to invite me to his son's wedding dinner

His son graduated from NUS with 1st class honors, like my daughter, got a job with Boston Consulting Group after graduation, pay $6K a month

But he resigned to join Bytedance a year later for double the pay, $16K a month, thanks to PAP

This friend of mine got 3 sons, all born Singaporeans who served NS, eldest married, 2nd going to get married soon, BTO already booked, thank you PAP

Majulah Singapura, Terima Kasih PAP

I told my sons, if they don’t want or can’t afford to, then don’t need to.
our country is flooded with foreigners, and they provide them with our jobs.
basically, this country’s policy tell us they just need them.

I can only partially agreed with you.
firstly, generally for most of us, you need some education to get a job.
to have a job, then can have a reasonable income to put foods on the table.
we aren’t those who are born with a silver spoon, or those rich elite’s children, who can owned a company or are parachuted to be chairmen, ceo or head of department.

You think too far off. What I meant are lessons for kids

I think able to swim is important, so better learn to float in water at least. Abacus lessons are gd for mental calculations and maths. Art and music not so important but gd to learn if they hv the talents and imterest. So need to spend about 1k per kid per month

Never never believe or engage in life long learning to get a job because due to ageism, you will never get a job.
