Now I beginning to understand why he supports CECA so much
He was Trade and Industry Minister (as well as when Minister of State) when he helped to renegotiate CECA
Won’t be surprised if the investigation is linked to this

Wendy should help investigate Foo Mee Har if she also corrupted.

Heard the case happened before he was made minister...... which means if he had lost in the last elections, he may have not been investigated....... should have let PSP win..... talking about Karma..... sometimes its not good to try too hard to get something.....

I don't think Iswawa was born in Singapore. He was born in the motherland. And was involved in discussing ceca deals with the motherland.May be rather common corrupt practice to resort to bribes to get things done in 3rd world countries.
After ridout scandal and now this. I think the rot is starting to stink in the PAP.
cecas simply can't tell what is right from wrong, ridout pigs also like that ( raiding reserves) , Iswawa also like that.

Maybe he bribed West Coast residents to win the election? Possible?

This is not to be confused with the Rideout case whereby SLA already confirm no wrongdoing and then PM then further instructed CPIB to confirm SLA's findings.

For this case, it is initiated solely by CPIB and once tio investigated with leave of absence which will bring about much inconvenience to PAP affecting their reputation etc. means CPIB has high confidence in their evidence which warrants full investigation for confirmation.

CPIB will lose all credibility if they anyhow inconvenient the Gov or the minister and ask for an investigation then found innocent if they did not have sufficient credible evidence.

LEAVE OF ABSENCE
Dr Eugene Tan, who is an associate professor of law from the Singapore Management University, added that being put on a leave of absence suggests that there is "preliminary credible evidence that laws may have been broken".

"To avoid investigations being compromised should Mr Iswaran continue to exercise his powers and duties, it is proper for PM Lee to put him on leave of absence to uphold the integrity of the ongoing investigations," he said.

Now we know why they don't want to deal with the ridout scandal in May.
All THREE stinko come out at the same time
Don't think PAP can take the reputational damage

Anything is possible from his many years of trade dealings to election matters.

Can't wait for CPIB to reveal the full details.

I believe that the end result will be popcorn worthy and shocking even to the public.

Every dog has its day. Mr Chee Hong can finally become minister.

Why does CPIB report to the PM in the first place?
ICAC does not report to the CE?
So PM can't be investigated?

The Ridout bungalow scandal and now this Iswaran corruption probe shows obvious signs of cracks in the Pappy machinery as its current leadership continues to weaken.

I expect the Opposition to make further inroads.

The next GE will be a good time for another GRC to fall to the opposition with the PSP winning West Coast GRC. The East Coast GRC will also be ripe for a take out.
