.
Singapore being one of the richest countries in the world, Such an unemployment support scheme should be comparable to the world's top 3 best countries.

On one hand, Singapore is the most expensive city in the world, certainly, On the other hand, you can't introduce a 3rd world rubbish system

Heng Arh! I did not vote for PAP

It takes 10 YEARS to come up with this

when middle-age uncles and aunties are jobless / under- employed

for past 3 or 5 years?

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?

Test balloon taking flight.

This is blatantly aimed at PG/boomer/Gen X voter generations to try and secure their votes.

Also, unemployment benefits sounds good on paper, but the implementation of such a system is often the root source of much of its problems. Not all blessings are blessings. Just look at the UK's Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) as a good cautionary tale of what happens when you F...k up unemployment benefits.

Should have introduce during covid and not now.. war over Liao then introduce

1. I have served the nation in a combat unit for 2.5 + 10 years. I had fulfilled my duty as a citizen, but has the country do it's part for me?
2. I don't know where the threat of CCP is, but I know the threat of CECA is already at my doorsteps
3. I had been called a CCP, JHK, Pinoy, but they never called me a CECA..

Middle class in SG now being increasingly slaughtered by the upper elite class.

In the future there won't be a middle class. You're either one of the haves or have nots. No in between.

What I see, now

really poor, poor, average poor
Average income, slightly average income earners
rich, average rich, Ultra rich.

You see the " range and differences ? "

is not last time,

poor is really poor
average income is really just earn an average income
rich is really rich.

Their salary already 30% to 200% higher than us

Their India CAste System already has severance payment included in their pay every mth

What else do they want?

This system will definitely be designed to benefit the Govt and not us. The Unemployment Benefits may only cover certain age, certain jobs, certain salary, funds in CPF account etc for a short period of time so that Temasek can continue to afford to be contrarian.

What I know so call " 3 months aid of 700 bucks currently for jobless "

IS , Must show proof you been retrench RECENTLY. Not surely how the date range is from last year? year end?

OR you are " jobless , but cannot find a job, must Show proof you do go interviews "

Not sure is " How they view , is how many interviews you go but still cannot find a job "
Or worst they tell u why never try doing food delivery ? if got class 3 why never go try to become PHV ? or do security ? or in F&B industry as these industries need people thus surely got a job there.
