A 55-year-old stall owner who declined to be named said the father sold vegetables at one of the stalls he rented, and lives in the second stall with his daughter.

She said he rented a third stall to store items.

She said since she opened her stall at the market in 2014, she noticed the girl and her father spending a lot of time at their stall, even after the market is closed for the day.

She said: “I’ve known the girl since she was very young but I never knew her name. I’m not sure if she has any learning difficulties but I’ve never heard her speak. She only gestures and waves.

“We know she relieves herself in buckets in the stall. The smell can sometimes be really strong. I’ve rarely seen her leave the stall, not even to use the toilet.”

I have been there recently. But I went up to level 2 where the food stalls are and never visited those on ground floor so never noticed this.

Ms Tin said NEA informed her about this case in early April and she was shocked when she first heard about it.

She said: “I regularly visit this market and there was nothing unusual that I had noticed. In fact, I had just visited the market stalls during the Chinese New Year period.

I'm shocked to hear her say that. Laughing

2. I don't know where the threat of CCP is, but I know the threat of CECA is already at my doorsteps
3. I had been called a CCP, JHK, Pinoy, but they never called me a CECA..

MacPherson MP Tin Pei Ling said she regularly visit this market and there was nothing unusual.

But this poor girl has been there since 2014 (for 10 years), why MP Tin Pei Ling never notice the problem ?

Why nobody informs MP Tin Pei Ling for past 10 years ?

A poor girl problem can be covered up for 10 years ?

I checked with my relative who lived there last night. She was shocked about this as she never noticed it all these years.

I can understand as most don't go to the ground floor where the girl lives. But those other stall owners or workers near that store should have noticed something.

if 60% refuse to speak up, others cannot do anything because they do not have the mandate.
