The Chinese suffered from 200 years of drug problems under British time. Never ever alleviate this law.

I don't understand why some NGOs keep saying hanging as no deterrence effect. If the person is dead, he cannot traffic drugs again and that is already a deterrence.

Such hanging should be publicised for deterrent effect. Not keeping them under wraps!

Smoking are not better than drug.. 2500 singaporean dies of smoking every year and it kill 250 non smoker.
Never state how the 250 non smoker dies,, maybe fire cause by smoking or side smoke..

Yet the govt allow the selling of cigarette, I think the whole parliament shd be sentence to death
for selling cigarette that kill..No one so far have air in parliament the total ban of smoking or selling tobacco..

Yet all trying to be hero, hanging drug traffiker..

https://www.singaporecancersociety.org.s...oking.html

According to World Health Organisation (WHO), smoking has been found to be related to 6 million deaths worldwide annually. 14 types of cancer are related to smoking. 90% of lung cancer cases are caused by smoking.

In Singapore, tobacco kills approximately 2,500 smokers and 250 non-smokers each year (based on the World No Tobacco Day information paper). There is a high percentage of smokers among Singapore residents aged between 18 to 69. Tobacco is known to cause several types of cancer such as lung, oral and nasopharynx cancer. Most of these cancers were among the top common cancers diagnosed in Singapore residents between 2010 to 2014.

A cigarette alone contains over 7,000 chemicals and in these chemicals, 70 of them are cancer causing substances.

Smoking is the most preventable cause of death and we would like to encourage all to stay smoke free.

Not just smoking but gambling as well. Yet Spore went ahead with building two casinos that it knows will cause a lot of family problems. It tries to circumvent problem from occuring locally by restricting access for locals but it is ok for foreigners to go in unlimited. Isn't this morally wrong?
