platform phv is different then taxi.

taxi company own the vehicles and rent out the taxi for drivers to get their own business. so taxi drivers are more like free lancing.

platform company own the business. they employed driver with vehicles and pay per trip to complete the job.
end of day platform own the business. one day they may retrench all drivers by replacing with autonomous vehicle.
so need to treat platform as like any business. pay cpf, pay insurance etc.

way back LKY days, Taxi drivers don't even have to put money in their CPF. Is all depend one wanna or not. Likewise PHV when come SG also.
