SINGAPORE — A team of Singapore students have emerged tops in the 18th International Geography Olympiad (iGeo) this year, beating over 200 participants from 53 other countries and territories,
The Singapore team received the largest number of gold medals in the Olympiad held virtually in Paris from 12 to 18 July, winning three gold medals and also one silver medal, said the Ministry of Education in a media release on Thursday (8 September).
At the iGeo and the other International Olympiads this year, students representing Singapore won a total of nine gold medals, 14 silver medals, three bronze medals.
