KOTA BARU: A trader in Tangok, near Bachok, resorted to hiding food dishes in a restroom and packed rice in a washing machine in order to sell food to Muslims who do not fast.

Her tactics, however, failed to fool Bachok Islamic Religious Office and Bachok District Council personnel who conducted at operation between 10am and noon on Sunday.

They found and seized more than 20 packets of rice with chicken as well as packets of iced tea.

There are many Muslims who are exempted from fasting due to medical or work reasons. Why cannot sell food to them? Malaysia is seriously getting more backward every day.
