Here are some quotes from the article with potential flaws pointed out:
Quote 1:
"Mr Chan said that SkillsFuture has been effective in helping older workers close their skills gaps. 'We've seen many examples of workers who have benefitted from SkillsFuture, and have been able to take on new challenges and new roles,' he said."
Flaw: This statement is anecdotal and lacks concrete evidence. The phrase "many examples" is vague and does not provide a clear indication of the extent to which SkillsFuture has been successful.
Quote 2:
"Under the SkillsFuture initiative, Singaporeans aged 40 and above can receive up to 90% subsidy for course fees, and up to $500 credit to pay for courses."
Flaw: This statement highlights the benefits of SkillsFuture, but does not provide any information on the potential drawbacks or limitations of the initiative.
Quote 3:
"Mr Chan said that the government is committed to helping older workers adapt to changing job market demands. 'We want to make sure that our workers are equipped with the skills they need to stay relevant and competitive,' he said."
Flaw: This statement is a vague promise and lacks specific details on how the government plans to achieve this goal.
Quote 4:
"Since its launch in 2015, SkillsFuture has supported over 460,000 Singaporeans in their skills development and career advancement."
Flaw: This statement provides a raw number of participants, but does not provide any information on the quality of the training, the effectiveness of the initiative, or the outcomes for participants.

Here are some quotes from the article with potential inconsistencies pointed out:
Quote 1:
"Mr Chan said that SkillsFuture has been effective in helping older workers close their skills gaps."
Inconsistency: Later in the article, it is mentioned that "some older workers may face challenges in keeping up with technological changes". This statement seems to contradict the initial claim that SkillsFuture has been effective in helping older workers close their skills gaps.
Quote 2:
"Under the SkillsFuture initiative, Singaporeans aged 40 and above can receive up to 90% subsidy for course fees..."
Inconsistency: However, the article does not mention whether the subsidy is sufficient to cover the costs of courses, or whether there are any other barriers to accessing training (e.g. time constraints, lack of awareness about available courses).
Quote 3:
"Mr Chan said that the government is committed to helping older workers adapt to changing job market demands."
Inconsistency: While the government's commitment to helping older workers is stated, the article does not provide specific details on how this commitment will be implemented, or what concrete measures will be taken to support older workers.
Quote 4:
"Since its launch in 2015, SkillsFuture has supported over 460,000 Singaporeans in their skills development and career advancement."
Inconsistency: The article mentions the number of Singaporeans supported by SkillsFuture, but does not provide information on the outcomes for these individuals (e.g. whether they were able to find employment, or advance in their careers).

The article on SkillsFuture lacks concrete evidence and transparency, relying on anecdotal examples and vague promises. Inconsistencies and contradictions arise, raising questions about the program's effectiveness and the government's commitment to supporting older workers.

Many older workers attended courses eg security guard after that still need to fork out own money to attend additional mandatory courses inorder to find employment SkillFuture don't pay for it.
