"They surrendered not only, but almost without a fight. Two of our servicemen captured a much larger group of occupants. Morale in that area is generally broken & are ready to surrender without a fight. One group just surrendered ‘on sight’, so to speak: several shots were fired in the air and they surrendered," said spokesman.
