An official claim of the destruction of the Su-35S — one of Russia’s most modern combat aircraft — was posted by the Ukrainian Air Force on June 7. Germany to supply new Iris-T air defense systems to Ukraine, rules out Taurus missilesGermany will deliver new IRIS-T air defense systems to Ukraine under a three-year supply plan. "This is not what Putin was expecting," Oleksandr Merezhko, a Ukrainian lawmaker and chair of the parliament's foreign affairs committee, told the Kyiv Independent. "This is an incredible move that turns tables completely — Putin thought, he would send a Russian delegation, create the illusion of negotiations," he adding: "But now, b'cos this move by Zelensky, he is faced with a dilemma which cannot be solved."
