Kazan is more than 1,000km (600 miles) from the Ukrainian border. More than 1,000 North Korean military casualties in Ukraine war, says South Korea. More than 1,000 North Korean soldiers have been killed or wounded since they were sent to fight alongside Russian troops in Ukraine, according to South Korean military officials.

On Monday, South’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said: “We assess North Korean troops, who have recently engaged in combat with Ukrainian forces, have suffered around 1,100 casualties.” The JCS did not say how many troops had been killed in action, the claims underline risks posed to North’s untested armed forces, amid reports the regime is poised to send further reinforcements to Ukraine.

Putin, I judge may have been a brilliant spy but is being exposed as a dreadful military commander. He has forgotten, or more likely is unaware of, the principles of warfare, especially one that reinforce success not failure. 3-week special military op now approaching its fourth year, most likely that Zelensky will still be in power this time next year.
