The 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, which led the defense, reported the operation on Saturday, Feb. 8.

According to the brigade, offensive was launched by units of Russia’s elite Kantemirovskaya 4th Tank Division, a part of the 1st Tank Army. Russian troops attempted to advance toward near the settlement of Pershotravneve but were met with fierce resistance.

According to reports from Royal United Services Institute [RUSI] around 85% of Russian tanks & armored vehicles deployed to front since his claim are not newly manufactured but “mothballed” equipment brought from long-term storage – those are running short too.
