Why so many Rus army are allow to bring use mobile, are there many war time reporters?

Rus begin retreat to avoid high causalities when they sense they are clearly out numbers or face logistic impossibility,.

So Ukr militant loss is 6-7 times to Rus forces.

President Vladimir Putin may gotten more than he bargained for when, on May 11, he rejected calls for a 30-day unconditional ceasefire & invited Ukraine to engage in direct talks in Istanbul later this week. In what may have been a surprise for Russian leader, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky responded by accepting invitation, saying he was ready to meet Putin in Turkey on May 15.

"This is not what Putin was expecting," Oleksandr Merezhko, a Ukrainian lawmaker and chair of the parliament's foreign affairs committee, told the Kyiv Independent. "This is an incredible move that turns tables completely — Putin thought, he would send a Russian delegation, create the illusion of negotiations," he adding: "But now, b'cos this move by Zelensky, he is faced with a dilemma which cannot be solved." President Volodymyr Zelensky's trust rating increased from 69% in March to 74% in first half of May, & 22% of respondents said they do not trust the Ukrainian leader, according to a poll published by Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) on May 14. This marks Zelensky's highest trust rating recorded by KIIS since December 2023, when he enjoyed the confidence of 77% of respondents.

The institute carried out survey as the Ukrainian leader is preparing for a possible meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on May 15 in Turkey for peace talks. Compared to March poll, the level of trust in president has increased by 5%, & level of distrust has decreased from 28% to 22%. A trust-distrust balance is +52%. Researchers also noted that Zelensky enjoyed confidence in all regions across Ukraine.

Zelensky in Turkey for potential peace talks. Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Chief Vasyl Malyuk, & General Staff Chief Andrii Hnatov are among those accompanying President Zelensky in Turkey ahead of peace talks on May 15, Ukraine Office Head Andriy Yermak & Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha joined Zelensky talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara. A Russian delegation without Putin has arrived to meet Ukraine representatives for peace talks in Istanbul — without Russian Putin. Kremlin has rejected Ukraine's invitation for an in-person meeting of the two leaders, appointing presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky to lead the Russian delegation.

Zelensky is expected to decide on his next steps regarding peace talks with Russia after meeting with Erdogan.

Here, Ukrainians are intensifying their offensive operations along the Russian border near Tyotkino. As Ukrainian forces pushed deeper into Kursk, the powerful HIMARS & strikes of Ukrainian Air Force played a critical role in turning tide & setting stage for further Ukrainian assaults, coming increasingly close to capturing another tactically valuable settlement. Ukrainian forces continued with their border incursion towards Tyotkino. Strategically, this open aims to divert Russian attention away from their summer campaign in Donbas & tied to Kursk region. Tactically, this is meant to stretch enemy defenses or to expose their vulnerabilities for Ukrainian counterattacks in Kursk. The Ukrainian attack at Novy Put, where they exploited a gap in the dragon's teeth fortifications, divided Russian attention. This allowed Ukrainians to increase the pressure elsewhere and continue pressuring the tactically significant settlement of Tyotkino, which would significantly improve Ukrainians’ positioning.

By controlling Tyotkino, Ukrainian forces  run over 15 km. Securing also allow the Ukrainian forces to use the residential houses to deploy & conceal lots of soldiers and heavy equipment in the area, making it difficult for the Russians to identify or target them. Additionally, Tyotkino is right next to the Ukrainian border and very distant from the main Russian logistics hub at Glushkovo, exposing the deployment of Russian reinforcements along open roads, undermining the Russians’ offensive and defensive capabilities.

To take the settlement, the Ukrainians intensified their HIMARS strikes to deny Russians the artillery support needed to overwhelm Ukrainian ground assaults. Geolocated footage from the area reveals how the Ukrainians detected a North Korean Juche multiple-launch-rocket-artillery system, and relayed the location to a nearby HIMARS battery. The North Korean system was subsequently destroyed with pinpoint accuracy, as the HIMARS projectile ignited the ammo and destroyed the system. On top of that, the Ukrainian Air Force conducted precision strikes to eliminate Russian forces' concentrations and fortifications in Tyotkino and clear the way for frontline assaults. The Ukrainian aircraft managed to conduct three successful strikes on Russian positions at Tyotkino train station, eliminating Russian forces with utmost precision, and exposing a weak point for direct Ukrainian attack towards it. Afterwards, the Ukrainians deployed FPV drones to scout the area for any concealed Russian armored vehicles hidden in abandoned buildings, leading to the destruction of multiple Russian T-72-B3 tanks, denying Russian infantry armored support for the defense.

The activity of Ukrainian MiG-29s in this area implies that the Ukrainians successfully suppressed Russian air defense systems during the early stages of their incursion, meaning that many more air strikes could be conducted in the future. With the success of HIMARS batteries and the Air Force doing massive damage to Russian combat capabilities, ground assault units were poised to make another breakthrough.
The Ukrainian assault groups advanced in the southwestern part of Tyotkino. They secured the fields to the southeast, entering the first streets in the town that would serve as a staging ground for further operations. Geolocated evidence also indicates that Ukrainians have cleared the mines on the road and were able to move armored vehicles past the anti-tank ditches & into the town.

Mapped: Frontline in Ukraine as Kyiv and Moscow set to begin first direct talks since 2022. (No such talk by Russia has already rejected Ukraine’s repeated offer, talk about peace have to wait maybe in year 2027) No such talk of a comprehensive, unconditional 30-day ceasefire which Mr Zelensky says would allow for proper peace negotiations to take place.

Russian and Ukrainian negotiators will sit face-to-face for the first round of direct peace talks between the warring countries since March 2022.

Where got hopes of a meeting between Volodymyr Zelensky with Putin and Donald Trump at the Istanbul talks, all are dashed when Putin/Kremlin revealed its list of delegates, confirming Russian president would not be joining. It is unclear whether Mr Zelensky - who is in Turkey for a meeting with president Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara - will join the talks. He previously said he was not prepared to talk to anyone but Putin.

On Wednesday, the US said it would send special envoy Steve Witkoff and secretary of state Marco Rubio to the negotiations, but Donald Trump has excused himself. The Ukrainian president had offered to meet Putin in person for first time since 2019, goading at Russian leader by questioning if he was brave enough to show up. Videos shared on social media show powerful explosions and Bomb fires at the depot, while local residents reported visible smoke rising from the military base. The situation was reportedly so severe that Russian forces temporarily shut down traffic on the Simferopol–Alushta highway, which runs near Perevalne. As Ukraine SBU continues to effectively target legitimate military base and enemy depot objectives on Russian-occupied in Crimean as well as into far away farther Russia territory. Cool
