Slovakia likely to hand over MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine

This persistent vulnerability undermines Putin's govt image domestically, dismantles official assurances of a secure rear area & weakens public morale. Overall, a carefully orchestrated strikes systematically degrade Russia’s military capacity by cutting critical fuel supplies essential for combat ops, same time, Ukraine's coordinated drone assaults severely trim Russia’s asset.
Will the Ukraine present president neet, but I think, Putin maybe and likely not want to go to meet his one and only enemy. .. Rotfl

The Kremlin’s dream of a breakthrough is dead. Russia launches massive assaults, but Ukrainian defenders crush them on the approaches — wiping out troops, aircraft, and even generals. “Dronocide” is in full swing as Ukrainian forces obliterate Moscow’s pilots and commanders. Putin is in rage as the offensive collapses and the frontline begins to break apart. Explosive updates from the zero line — watch now!

Recently, it’s been a bad few days for the Russian Navy, as the Ukrainian campaign has been reinforced by nature and even the Russians’ own incompetence. Ukraine is racing to complete the Atlas anti-drone wall, a 900-mile network of 8,500 jamming and detection units designed by Kvertus to cripple Russian UAV swarms. Announced in February 2025, the $130M project aims to disrupt operator links and drop drones harmlessly to the ground, countering record attacks like July’s 6,297-drone assault.
The system uses MS Azimuth detectors with an 18-mile range and Mirage jammers that cover 0–6,000 MHz, consume just 250W in operation, and require no manual activation. Backed by investors from sports, banking, and healthcare, Atlas could be fully operational by year’s end, offering broad protection to military and civilian areas against Russia’s increasingly aggressive aerial campaign.

Tensions are rising between Azerbaijan and Russia over a maritime dispute was largely unheard-of but could have significant impact should it erupt.

Azerbaijan is proud of its sovereign achievements since independence from the collapsing Soviet Union in 1991, but Russia feels that Azerbaijan should accept a subordinate status within a Russian zone of influence. Nonetheless, for most of the post-independence era, relations between the two countries have been business-like but stilted. Throughout, Russia has maintained its dominant position in the Caspian Sea, maintaining its Caspian Flotilla at a strength of ten modern frigates and corvettes, some equipped with Kalibr cruise missiles with a range of 1,500 miles. it is not going to achieved it due to cost Russia supporting it economy. crying

Keeping things cordial, Azerbaijan does feel some kinship with co-religionists in the bordering Russian republics of Chechnya and Dagestan. However, relations with Russians further to the north are somewhat strained.

But relations between the two countries fell off a cliff on Christmas Day 2024, when Azerbaijan Airline Flight 8243 was struck by an anti-aircraft missile while coming in to land at Grozny airport in Chechnya. The Russian authorities refused to allow the damaged plane to land, which instead had to crash-land on the other side of the Caspian Sea at Aktau in Kazakhstan. Of 67 passengers and crew on board, 38 died in the accident. It was later established that the aircraft had been hit with a Russian Pantsir-S1 missile. Putin refused to acknowledge responsibility for the incident, or to facilitate compensation or investigatory efforts. dispute remains unresolved (4-now).

Since then, relations between Iran and Russia, with sanctions and conflicts affecting both counties, have grown in importance. Sea traffic between the two countries passes through Azeri territorial waters in the Caspian Sea. In particular, Iran has shipped drones, missiles and ammunition from Amirabadport on the southern Caspian shore to the Volga river port Olaya in Russia. Iranian Fatah-360 ballistic missiles shipped in September 2024, and thousands of Shahed-136 drones, have played a crucial role in Russian offensive action on Ukraine, likely to have prompted a Ukrainian drone attack on Caspian Flotilla vessels docked at Kaspiysk on November 6 last year, had damaged Project 11661 Gepard-class frigates RFS Tatarstan (691) and RFS Dagestan (693), plus a Buyan-class corvette.

As Azeri-Russian relations deteriorated, Russia has fallen out with Kazakhstan on the other side of the Caspian, even though much of Kazakh oil exports are piped through Russia to Black Sea oil export terminal at Novorossiysk. The President Tokayev of Kazakhstan has refused to recognize annexations on
Ukraine & in Georgia, & is minded to respect Western sanctions on Russia. He has also turned down a special request to provide Kazakh troops to fight in Ukraine...President Tokayev of Kazakhstan is not likes, zZZzzz Trump.

Since then, temporary “technical” closures of Kazakhstan’s CPC pipeline to Novorossiysk have been attributed to Russian displeasure with their... Cool independent Kazakh position. While Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have not hitherto been close allies, their shared disputes with Russia have brought them closer together. Kazakh & Azeri territorial waters in Caspian theoretically form a barrier between Russian waters to the north and Iranian waters to the south, albeit there has never as yet been a threat to innocent passage.

In a sign of deteriorating relations, the Azeri press has begun referring to Russian place names by their pre-Soviet names. Kaliningrad has reverted to Königsberg and the Volga has become the River Itil. On the Russian side, TASS still employs Armenian rather than Azeri place names in now defunct Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. As inconsequential to outsiders, such matters generate extreme nationalistic responses in the region. Azerbaijan has also been upset by what it describes as an unjustified wave of arrests of Azeris working in Russia, & has to retaliated by arresting Russian gangsters in Baku... Cool

Donald Trump and Putin prepare for talks on ending war, Ukrainian soldiers remain skeptical meeting will yield any productive outcome, noting that Russian forces have ramped up their offensive on the ground believe any negotiations will lead nowhere," Artem Fysun, a soldier with the Peaky Blinders drone unit, told the Kyiv Independent. "It's unlikely Putin, Trump, and even Zelensky will be able to agree on any thing to stopping war b'cos I see that on the front line, Putin is not stopping.” U.S./Russian leaders are set to meet in Alaska on Aug. 15, with Trump saying talks could involve "Kyiv must be
invited to the meeting. One word. He, Trump doesn't have any leverage to talk to Russia about Ukrainian territories or to swapping" of territories between Ukraine and Russia.
