In a dynamically evolving techno-tactical contest, Russia and Ukraine introduced newer systems to beat each other’s advantages in attack/kamikaze drones and electronic warfare (EW).

While Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) now have drones with AI to beat Russia’s superior EW systems, Moscow has claimed to have developed an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that is resistant to all types of EW jamming.

Drones have characterized the 26-month war, where cheap, mass-produced, commercial-use remotely piloted aircraft have been repurposed for military applications, ranging from simple aerial surveillance, reconnaissance, artillery fire correction, and attack roles by being strapped with explosives.

Speaker Johnson advances aid bills, but time running out as Ukraine’s supplies dry up. After six grueling months, U.S. House of Representatives may finally be preparing to vote on a new aid package for Ukraine.

House Speaker Mike Johnson said on April 16 that following new rounds of talks with House Republicans, he planned to advance three separate aid packages for Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan, and other U.S. allies.

A fourth bill, set to focus on domestic policies in an attempt to appease hard-right Republicans who oppose further aid to Kyiv, will be voted together with the aid bills. Johnson told reporters following the meeting that he hoped the bills’ texts would be released on April 16 and a vote could take place as soon as this week.

The speaker also said that he may look to unify the bills into one package before sending them to the Senate.

Iran's attack on Israel April 14 has added pressure on House Speaker Mike Johnson to pass aid after a $95 billion aid package for allies, is passed by Senate in February has languished. As Russia has taken advantage of Ukraine’s battlefield loss, b'cos ammunition shortages, taking city (Avdiivka) Feb.

President Zelensky said last mth Ukraine needs more help ahead of what is expected to be major Russian offensive in May or June. Ukraine will lose the war without crucial aid, he said. Aid package to Ukraine & other U.S. partners & allies was first introduced in October 2023, the White House submitted a new foreign supplemental aid request to Congress, proposed aid was meant for Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan, and other countries.

It remains unclear whether Johnson’s new strategy will manage to garner enough support to get aid to Ukraine & other countries waiting, with Russia's gambling.

Those stupid politicians squabbles trying to pass or don"t pass those aid. As House deliberates stop foreign aid, civilians and soldiers alike continue to die day in, day out in Ukraine.

Delaying new foreign supplemental aid have also altered Ukrainian battlefield, a matters are only set to worsen in their fighting areas, as-it didn't have enough playing with the foreign aid.

Just a few hundred kilometres over the border, Russia's Kurgan, a region of 800,000 people at the confluence of the Ural mountains and Siberia, was grappling with flooding and rising water levels in the Tobol River, another tributary of the Irtysh.

Water levels rose to 6.31 metres (over 20 ft) or about almost reaching over 3rd floor of their BTO flat, many can be flooded) in the main city, Kurgan. Governor Vadim Shumkov said the main mass of water was 10 km away from the city.

"The volume of water is colossal, in addition to the waters of the Tobol itself and melt water pouring into it, there is 1.3 billion cubic metres of water coming from Kazakhstan, which... is twice as much as in 1994 (when Kurgan was flooded for a month)."

"Fellow countrymen, leave the flooded areas immediately."

Defense Express previously analyzed the capacity of the Kurganmashzavod plant in producing BMP-3 vehicles & their plans to equip them with additional reactive armor. There even still didn't abandon the idea of "robotizing" the BMP-3 by making it completely uncrewed.

Currently, Russian federation does not publicly say what exactly water level is expected in Kurgan, giving vague estimates of more than 11 meters, or a "corridor" of 9-14 meters. The local authorities of Kuragn state, the city can avoid catastrophic consequences only if appropriate natural circumstances occur. The peak of the water rise is expected by April 14.

Thus, there are quite reasonable expectations that it is nature that will deal a stronger blow to Russian arms manufacturer than all the sanctions combined. B'cos in case Kurganmashzavod plant, ia flooded, it will suspend its work

Denmark Confirms Transfer of Entire F-16 Fleet to Ukraine Following US F-35 Acquisition.

April 21, 2024, during an interview with Euromaidan Press, Denmark's Ambassador to Ukraine, Ole Egberg Mikkelsen confirmed Denmark's intention to transfer its remaining fleet of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine following the sale of 24 F-16s to Argentina. This decision is part of Denmark's broader shift to the newer F-35 model, aligning with similar moves by other European nations, a group that recently included Portugal.

Delivery is part coordinated effort by a few  NATO countries together committed to providing Ukraine with 65 F-16s in total. By Denmark MoD.

As of 2023, Denmark's F-16 fleet includes 34 F-16AM & 10 F-16BM fighter jets, with 30 of these 44 aircraft operational. Not all of these aircraft will go to Ukraine, however as reported by Army Recognition on April 17, 2024, a portion has sold to Argentina, totaling 24 jets. Sale addresses Argentina's longstanding need to replace its Mirage aircraft, retired in 2015, faced acquisition challenges due to a British embargo on military equipment by UK, components.

Argentina explored various options, including considering the JF-17 Thunder developed by China and Pakistan. However, the election of President Javier Milei led to the confirmation of the purchase of Danish F-16s, a decision influenced by geopolitical considerations, particularly the potential impact of Chinese influence in the region. Therefore, the US authorization in October 2023 allowed for the purchase of the Danish F-16s, which was formalized on April 16, 2024, by Argentine President Javier Milei and Defense Minister Luis Petri. The total cost of the acquisition is estimated at $650 million, covering both aircraft and ammunition.
