The social compact that our leaders often talk about is for S'poreans to work hard, earn a good salary and pay our dues to the govt so they can continue to draw their obscene salaries. In return, the govt offers us security and protection. Why does it sound as if we are paying protection money to the Mafia?

PAP is the one who tore down Social Compact
So there is NO WAY they can rebuild Social Compact as Hypocrite
without UNDoing the policies in SG

The social compact was broken when the Govt started bringing in foreign white collar labour in huge numbers to displace locals at the workplace. These non-S'poreans enjoy all the privileges, but shoulder none of the responsibilities of local men as far as NS is concerned.
