It's like we almost become cashless but some shops insist on cash payment.

Wonder why they just refuse to accept PayNow.

then how much does alipay n other forms of cashless payment system charging the merchants in china ?

I think 2% is not a lot. Read article Visa Masters can go to 5% and Amex even more. Nets seem most merchant friendly at I think 0.3% This is why some merchants will say cash and Nets only.
