The Spanish NASAMS anti-aircraft missile "ground-to-air" battery has been deployed at the Lielvardė Air Force Base in central Latvia in response to the need to strengthen the Baltic region's defense capabilities against Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the Latvian Ministry of National Defense said.
