Y China slammed UK-US Deal?

Some more called the deal a poison pill,  worse than Trump’s tarring. What happened?  Is UK playing out China in the deal?

UK hit back and say the UK-US deal did not have “ such thing as a veto on Chinese investment” but “Beijing feared it would be excluded from supplying goods to the UK, saying bilateral trade deals should not target other countries.” The argument sounds like China’s goods to UK would b hit and the result is worst than Trump’s tariffs. Will China retaliate against UK?

Earlier in April, China warned Countries. So deals with US affecting the supply of goods or from China and China supply chains will get warnings?

Will China warned Saudi for buying USD 142 billion from the US. Saudi just rejected the buying of J35 fighter jets from China in Mar 2025.

This Yahoo news explained tt China was alarmed when  Telegraph news interpreted tt the US-UK agreement has a clause tt will give Trump the veto power to control China’s investments  in UK

https://www.yahoo.com/news/china-warns-s...43623.html

The Telegraph news tt said Trump has veto power is here

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/202...ent-in-uk/

The sensitive clause in the US-UK agreement tt sparked the China’s warning is about US-UK “intend to co-operate on the effective use of investment security measures”.

Not quite sure y China is so upset to give warning because of this clause.  May b some misunderstanding or over-reaction or wrong interpretation.

Easy. Just ask UK gives China the same right to do the same for US investments in UK and China would not be upset.

UK did not give any rights to US in the agreement for the veto the investment and why should they?  Likely to be just a misinterpretation of the agreement.  Even if UK does give that right to US,  there is nothing China can do. Think China really "buay song" UK has the agreement with the US.

Omi.. Thank you for bumping up the message.
