Myanmar maid Piang Ngaih Don was tortured, starved and beaten to death by Prema S Naraynasamy and her daughter, Gaiyathiri Murugayan. Both women deserve life imprisonment, so they are fortunate that the judge went easy on them. May they never have a moment's peace of mind for the remainder of their pathetic lives on earth.

Why wasn't the family's GP, Dr Grace Kwan not prosecuted by the police for not reporting the injuries on Piang Ngaih Don's face and body as well as her malnourished state when she last examined the victim 2 weeks before her death?
